On Sunday, May 8, 2016, formerly of Carrick and South Side.  Wife of the late Anton Szmul; mother of Anne (John) Holowatyj and Anthony (Kristina) Szmul; sister of John ( Irene) Borodycia and the late Veronica (John) Hryciuk and the late William Borodycia; sister-in-law of Nancy Borodycia; baba of Gregory and Michael; also survived by four nephews and two nieces.  Friends received at the John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd.,  119 South 15th Street ,South Side on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m.  Funeral prayers on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. Funeral service at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church.  Parastas on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
