On Thursday, December 8, 2016 of the South Side.  Wife of the late George Alaounis; mother of Sandra Lee (Tim Duffy) Alaounis, George R. (Colleen) Alaounis Jr. and Mary Ann (Frank) Mauro; sister of Patricia Lober and Nancy Oberheusen; grandmother of Nikki (Mike) Kaminski and Stephanie Mauro.  The family would like to thank the staff of Manor Care, Whitehall.  Friends received at the John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd. , 119 South 15th St., South Side, on Saturday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m.
