Anne Dugan Schnippert, age 93, went peacefully to her eternal home to reunite with her late Husband Regis on April 5, 2018. She grew up on Mount Washington, married and raised her family in Overbrook and happily spent her last years on the South Side. Anne loved music and dancing, shopping, walking and was also an accomplished seamstress. She was a devout Catholic and treasured her family. She is survived by her children: Jane (Alan) McCartney, Anne (Harry) O’Brien, Regis (Dorie), Joseph (Mary Eileen), Julia (Ed Kaiser); and her beloved Grandchildren: Colleen (Greg) Hoyer, Andrea (Tim) Glass, Tim, Dan (Kristara), Patrick, Adam (Allie) O’Brien, Luke (Andrea) O’Brien and Bridget (Nick) Faherty; and Great-Grandchildren: Camden, Connor and Cara Glass, Maggie and Abigail O’Brien, Katie Jane Hoyer, Elizabeth and Caroline Schnippert. Anne is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, and the caring employees of Wood Cliff Manor where she spent her last months. Friends and family received Sunday at the John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd., 119 South 15th Street, South Side from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9 a.m., mass of Christian Burial in St. Adalbert Church at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Prince of Peace Parish.
