Carol Lee Donovan

Carol Lee Donovan, 68, of Arlington, Pittsburgh, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at her home. Born February 5, 1954, in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth Wilhelm Donovan. A resident of Arlington for the past 40 years, Carol was a member of the former St. Henry's RC Church. She is survived by her husband, Bernard Ackerman to whom she was married 38 years; three children, Carrie Koenig and husband, Christopher, Corrie Geiger and husband, William Figura, Timothy Ackerman; two stepchildren, Nikki Ackerman and husband, Kevin McFeely, Bernie Ackerman and wife, Mary Beth; nine grandchildren, Cara, Kayleigh, Claire, Mya, Christopher, Cole, Levi, Luca and Bryson; two great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Collin Everitt and her pet dog, Chloe. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Donovan. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the JOHN J. GMITTER FUNERAL HOME, 119 South 15th St., Pittsburgh, PA 15203 412-431-0867. Prayers of Transfer will be held Monday at 11:15 AM in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 12:00 noon at Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Basil Church with the Rev. Ken Sparks as celebrant.
