Cynthia Lou (Momchilovich) Caffardo

Cynthia Lou Caffardo (Momchilovich), 64, of the South Side, with all the grace and beauty of a bull in a china shop, declared to the heavenly host that she decided to eternally shack up with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as of August 21, 2023.  A Steelers fan, collector of practical jokes, and a dog lover.  Cindy leaves behind her partner-in-crime, Joseph Caffardo.  Preceded into eternity by her parents Samuel and Arlene Momchilovich and William and Rose Ella Walker and other aunts, uncles and cousins.  Perennial agitator to her older brother, William (Patty) Momchilovich.  Mother of Justin (Cindy) Caffardo and Samantha (Gary) Wilhelm.  Positive "influencer" to granddaughters Amara (Steven) Gonsar and Alyssa Caffardo.  Aunt "don't tell your father" to Brian (Kristy) Momchilovich, Dylan and Emily and Dana (Erich) Puhlman, Will, and Ella.  Cousin to Jimmy (Denise) Walker, Karen (Joe) Benavides, Charlene Walker and Bobby Walker.  Stepmom to David Caffardo Douds and Melissa (Michael) Washington.  Her extended family includes her sister from another mother, the late Patty Doyle, and was a second mom to her daughter, Brittany Morris.  Was a mom to the late Jason Russell and kids, and Sheena Russell and kids.  Fur mama to a host of dogs, both loved and cherished, Candy, Lady, Bell, Raiden, Remmie, Rocky, Rosie, JoJo, GiGi, and granddog, Tank, grandcat, Minkah, and great-granddogs, Montana and Virginia.  Friends received at the John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd., 119 South 15th Street, on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 1 pm to 5 pm with a funeral service at 4:30 pm.
