Dorothy F. (Ptaszkiewicz) Huber

Dorothy passed away peacefully at the age of 86 surrounded by her family on Monday, August 14, 2023 at her home in Mt. Washington, Pittsburgh, PA.  Dorothy is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard R. Huber; eight children: preceded in death by her three sons, Kenneth Huber (Gloria), Glen Huber, and Timothy Huber (Crystal Huber Rizzo); five surviving children: Richard A. Huber (Kathy), Jacqueline Knerr, Jeffrey Huber, Nancy Huber, and Douglas Huber; Grandchildren: April Semplice (Michael), Brittany Huber, Kayla Huber Dailey (TJ), Brandon Knerr, Bradley Huber, and Hayley Huber Reichard (Cody); Great-grandchilden: Julian Semplice, Amira Fitzsimmons, Scarlett Dailey, and Owen Timothy Reichard.  Friends received at the John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd., 119 South 15th Street, South Side on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 57 21st Street, Pittsburgh, PA (Strip District) on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 10 am, with a luncheon immediately following at Salvatore's, 5001 Curry Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
