Father Daniel Sullivan J. C.P. on Thursday, March 3, 2011, Father Dan, of St. Paul of the Cross Monastery.



Son of the late Daniel and Bridget Sullivan; beloved brother of Jeremiah, Sr. Margaret Sullivan, S.B.S., Sr. Marie Sullivan, S.B.S., and Catherine Sullivan; dear uncle of Dr. Daniel (Kathy) Sullivan, Sharon (Michael) Escajeda, Patricia (Paul) Kimicata, Dr. Roy (Traci) Sullivan, and Maureen (Michael) Dalton. Also survived by 23 grandnieces and nephews, and four great-grandnieces.



Father Sullivan would have been a Passionist Professed 50 years this year, and would have been ordained 43 years also this year.



Friends received Monday 1-8 p.m. in St. Paul Retreat Center Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Monastery. For the Mass, the Funeral Presider will be the Very Rev. Robert Joerger, C.P. Prayer Service Monday evening 8 p.m.



Father Dan received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh prior to his entering the Passionist Community. Father Dan served in the US Army from April 29, 1954 until April 3, 1956, and was discharged as a Specialist 4th Class on March 31, 1962.
