We celebrate the life of our beloved mother and grandmother, Florence Kriss, who died on April 17, 2012, at age 90. She loved to read, write poetry, sing, go to movies, and travel, as well as demonstrated remarkable faith. No matter how difficult the circumstances, she would always advise that we look for the good in people.



Her love lives on in those who predeceased her, namely her husband, Edmund, and son, Rev. David Kriss; as well as in those who have survived her, daughter and son-in-law Ellen and John Walkowiak; son and daughter- in-law Mark and Debbie Kriss; son Rev. Aaron Kriss; and four granddaughters, Erin and Laurel Walkowiak, and Keriann (Kriss) Schoepke, and Julia Kriss.



Friends may offer their condolences to the family April 19 from 6-8 p.m., and April 20 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JOHN J. GMITER FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 119 South 15th St., South Side, Pittsburgh. Funeral Mass will be held on April 21 at 10 a.m. in St. Adalbert Church, Prince of Peace Parish, 160 South 15th St., South Side, Pittsburgh.



Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made in her honor to the Holy Martyrs' Ladies of Charity, Tarentum, PA, or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
