Germaine F. (Szafranski) Gribowicz Obituary

Age 87, of Whitehall, formerly of Brentwood went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 21, 2020. Gerri was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years Adolf, her sisters Agnes, Bernadine, Colette, Constance, Mathilda and Regina and brothers Hilary, Hubert, Leonard and Ray. Gerri is survived by loving children Cindy (Chuck) Perryman, A. Jan (Roberta) Gribowicz and Michelle (John) Dodson; grandchildren Ali and Chad Perryman, Janna (Brendan) Nelson, Matthew (Edita) Gribowicz, Samantha Gribowicz and Kevin (Gwyn) Gribowicz; and great-grandchildren Summer and Adam Nelson and Sofija Gribowicz. Gerri was raised in Pittsburgh’s Southside and worked in the medical records department of St. Joseph’s hospital retiring from UPMC Presbyterian in 1995. She had a deep and abiding faith in the Lord. Gerri watched mass daily also enjoyed watching Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. There will be a private viewing and burial. A memorial mass and celebration will be held at a later date.
