Age 88, of the South Side and Oakland, on Friday, April 1, 2016.  Husband of the late Amelia Joyce; son of the late Patrick and Mary T. Joyce of Galway, Ireland; brother of Stephen  A. (Gloria) Joyce and the late Patrick (Sonny) Joyce and the late Mary T. (late Robert) Cunningham and the late Martin Joyce; stepfather of Amelia "Dolly" and Ron Wittman, Kathleen "Kitty" Powers and the late John "Jackie" and Patricia Powers; many step-grandchildren; and uncle to many loving nieces and nephews.  John was a 41 year veteran of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police , a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.  Friends and relatives may visit on Wednesday April 6, 2016 from noon-4 p.m. at the John J.
