John went peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. John grew up on the South Side on Windom Street. Husband of the late Bernadette Krestian. Son of the late John and Anna Krestian. Father of Virginia Brandt, John Krestian III, and the late James Krestian. He was predeceased in death by his brothers and sisters, Mary Sipe, Ann Ziemski, George Krestian, and Steve Krestian. John was a Corporal in the U.S. Army where he served in the Korean War. He held many jobs including Potomac Bakery, J&L Steel, and UFCW North Side Packing. He will be dearly missed but remembered in our hearts forever. Friends received at the John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 9-11 am, where a blessing will be held at 11 am. Interment at Saint Josaphat Cemetery.
