On Sunday, April 22, 2012, Joseph "Osyp" Polatajko, of Bethel Park, age 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of the late Maria Polatajko; dear father of Slava (Raymond) Komichak and Halyn (Yurij) Kozub; also survived by one cherished granddaughter, Alexandra Maria Komichak.
Friends received at the JOHN J. GMITER FUNERAL HOME, 119 S. 15th St., South Side, Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral Prayer Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. Funeral Liturgy in St. John the Bapt. Ukr. Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
Mr. Polatajko was a longtime member of St. John the Bapt. Ukr. Catholic Church and also served as longtime president of the Church Choir. Parastas Tuesday evening, 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. John the Bapt. Ukr. Catholic Church, South Side.
