LaVerne Winkowski

On Wednesday, June 9, 2021 of the South Side Slopes.  Daughter of the late Laura and Joseph Winkowski.  Sister of the late Joan (the late Glenn) Patton, the late Larry (Ruth) Winkowski, Walt (Laverne) Winkowski, and Bobbie (Roy) Smith. Aunt of many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.  Friends received on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 2-8 pm at John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd., 119 South 15th Street, South Side.  Funeral Prayer on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 9 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Adalbert Church, Mary, Queen of Peace Parish on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10 am. Interment at Saint Michaels Cemetery.  LaVerne was an Associate of the Sisters of Saint Francis and member and choir director for Saint Henrys Church for over 45 years.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Sisters of Saint Francis.
