Laura B. Zawicki (Dudek)

Lifelong resident of the South Side; loving wife of the late Frank T. (Bashu); sister of the late John, Steve, Helen Filip, Walter, Stella Pietrzak, Monica Olszewski, Cecelia Dolata, Sophie Hinda, Bob, and Dorothy Siatkowski; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Laura worked at the Matthews International Corporation where she pursued a career as a proofreader.  She adored movies and television and enjoyed discussing the latest soap operas or westerns with her closest friends and family. Remarkably compassionate, Laura graciously accepted any visitor into her immaculate home and treated them with warmth and overwhelming generosity. She will be remembered as a kindhearted soul who cherished the time she spent with her loved ones.

Interment will be private. A memorial mass and celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd.
