Rita Ann (Antkowiak) Fabbio

Rita Ann Fabbio, age 102, on Saturday, January 3, 2025, of the South Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Wife of the late Frank; mother of the late Carol Fabbio Vouzoukas, and Linda Fabbio Hawkins; grandmother of Frank (Vicki) Zouloufos, John (Dena) Zouloufos, and Margaret Porupsky. Will also be dearly missed by 6 great-grandchildren, Amara, Frankie, Johnny, Teddy, Tori, Shane, and Ronnie, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, Frankie, Ariana, Christopher, Athena, Adrian, and Selena.

"Our beloved grandmother passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and warmth that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was the heart of her family and a treasured friend to many. Known especially for her love of cooking, her kitchen was a place of comfort and joy. Meals were never just food—they were expressions of love. Whether preparing a holiday meal, or cooking simply to make someone feel cared for, she found happiness in nourishing others.

Beyond her culinary gifts, she was deeply devoted to helping friends, neighbors, and family whenever they were in need. She gave freely of her time, energy, and compassion, always ready with a listening ear, gentle advice, or a helping hand. Her generosity was quiet but constant, and her kindness touched countless lives.

With strength, patience, and endless love, she raised her grandchildren as her own, guiding them with wisdom, discipline, and compassion. She was not only a grandmother, but a mother, mentor, and protector—someone her grandchildren could always depend on.

She will be deeply missed, but her love, strength, and selfless spirit remain forever in our hearts."

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, January 14, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Mary Queen of Peace Parish 10 AM. Everyone please meet at the church.  Interment following St. Michael cemetery.
