Robert "Bob" Anthony Bukowski

"Robert Anthony "Bob" Bukowski, 77, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 3, 2026. Born on July 11, 1948, Bob lived a life defined by love for his family, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished most.

A skilled mechanic by trade, Bob graduated from Connelly Technical School as an auto mechanic and dedicated his career to doing the work he loved. Throughout the years, he worked for Grants Auto Division, Kmart Auto Division, and Ken’s Tire, all in Crafton. His final position, and the one he cherished most, was working on school buses before retiring. He took great pride in keeping vehicles safe and dependable, and his strong work ethic and mechanical talent earned the respect of those who worked alongside him.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Francine Florence Letson Bukowski; his parents, Margaret Bailey Bukowski and Bronislaw Bukowski; his sister-in-law, Cecilia Bukowski; and his only brother, William Bukowski.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Roberta Frances Kozel and her husband, Daniel Kozel, and Heather Brett O’Hara and her husband, Michael O’Hara; his treasured granddaughter, Samantha Kozel; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to his granddaughter, Samantha. The bond they shared brought him immeasurable joy and purpose, and the love they shared will remain one of his greatest legacies. Following the passing of his beloved wife, Bob was lovingly cared for by Roberta, Dan, and Samantha, whose unwavering love, compassion, and devotion brought him comfort and joy throughout his remaining years.
Those who knew Bob will remember him as a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a man whose greatest happiness came from being with his family. He was dependable, hardworking, and kind, with a quiet strength that carried him through life’s joys and challenges. His gentle spirit, generosity, and steadfast love for his family will never be forgotten.

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in knowing he is reunited with the love of his life, Francine. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed every day.

The family is grateful for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.

A time of visiting with the family will be MONDAY, July 6, 2026,  5  - 7 pm at the JOHN J. GMITER FUNERAL HOME, 119 South 15th Street (South Side) Pittsburgh, PA 15203, where a blessing service will be held at  7 p.m.
