Sandra Mazur Skeehan Obituary

Sandra Mazur Skeehan, 85, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at St. Clair Hospital.  She was born on February 13, 1940 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late John and Mary Mazur.  Sandy was the beloved wife of the late Edward M. Skeehan for 49 years.   She is predeceased by her brothers, Nick (Marie), Walter (Louise), Paul (Marie), Regis, and her sister, Anna. 

Sandy was a devout woman of faith and a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church for many years.  She was a beloved Aunt who enjoyed spending time with her numerous nieces and nephews.  Sandy was a devoted wife who supported her husband, Ed, as he worked tirelessly for many years for Veterans and Seniors in need of benefits.   Sandy had a true fondness for cats especially those in need of a loving home.

Sandy was employed by Sears for more than 30 years and then worked part-time for National City Bank.

Sandy will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. 

Family and friends received at the John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd., 119 South 15th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 9 am to 11 am where a blessing service will be held at 10 am.  Burial at 12:30 pm at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
